Contribute to the next IPCC report and the NCCARF literature review project

PIARN members are invited to contribute relevant material to the Australasia Chapter of the next IPCC Working Group Part 2 Report and the NCCARF literature review project.

The NCCARF project will provide climate change 'facts' for Australia in a searchable web-based database iClimate, due for launch in July 2011. This will cover a wide range of systems including marine and coastal ecology, industries, and natural heritage, terrestrial ecology, natural resource management and primary industries, cities and infrastructure, social science and adaptive management, and public health.

Assistance is sought from interested parties to contribute to both of these projects and ensure reliable and accurate products are produced.

PIARN members are asked to contribute the following material:

  • PDFs (copyright permitting), or at least detailed references, of any relevant papers or reports that you have helped author particularly in the period from mid-2006 onwards
  • any material that you have come across in more or less obscure places which 'common-or-garden' searching may not turn up – whether you have any authorial responsibility for it or not
  • material produced outside of the general journal-based publishing milieu – the so-called 'grey' literature – so long as it has an ISBN number (or equivalent) with some hard copies deposited in copyright libraries
  • papers or articles that are 'In press'. NCCARF and the IPCC writing team will remain interested for material produced at least until mid-2013.

All assistance will be acknowledged.

Material should be sent to Professor Roger Kitching and Dr Elvira Poloczansk:
