Adaptation research projects announced
The Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency and NCCARF has announced the successful applicants for Adaptation Research Grants Call for Primary Industries, conducted earlier this year.
Two projects were funded as part of meeting the priorities of the Primary Industries National Adaptation Research Plan:
- Will primary producers continue to adjust practices and technologies, change production systems or transform their industry? An application of Real Options. Chief Investigator: Gregory Hertzler, University of Sydney ($240,000)
- Adaptive capacity and adaptive strategies of broad-acre farms experiencing climate change. Chief Investigator: Ross Kingwell, Dept of Agriculture and Food WA, University of WA ($189,500)
