The interface between climate change mitigation and adaptation

The Primary Industries Adaptation Research Network (PIARN) is hosting a workshop at the World Congress on Conservation Agriculture on Thursday 29 September, looking at the interface between climate change adaptation and mitigation in agriculture.

PIARN co-convenor Professor Richard Eckard will lead the workshop, with contributions from PIARN leaders Professor Peter Grace (QUT), Dr Peter Hayman (SARDI), Professor Richard Harper and Professor Snow Barlow, as well as two leading international researchers.

Contributors will talk on the synergies and conflicts between adaptation and mitigation. A facilitated discussion between presenters and participants will then workshop options for addressing emerging conflicts while building on synergies.
